Hi, I don't know if there's other requirements in flying in Northrend. I'm level 73 with 300 riding skills but I keep getting the message that I'm in the wrong zone when I try to use the red or blue swift gryphon in Northrend. I am currently in Borean Thundra, do I need to be somewhere else to use it?

You need to learn Cold Weather Flying to fly in Northrend. If it's your first character on that account, you'll need to be level 77 to get it, either from Dalaran, River's Heart or K3.

Once your first character reaches level 77 you can purchase cold weather flying, after that point, subsequent characters are capable of flying by the purchase of the Cold Weather Flying Book, with the vendor located by the flight master in Dalaran. This must be purchased by a level 80, but can be used by level 68 characters.
