Onyxia questline in game?

I know you can enter Onyxia without attunement. But there are people who would like to do it the vanilla way.
I don't get the right quest to pop in Blasted Lands to start the questline for Attunement on Onyxia.

It's the one that ends up with the Drakefire Amulet if I remember correctly.

Onyxia questline was removed during the 3.0 patch. Not sure why actually.

I totally get where you’re coming from—there’s something nostalgic about doing the Onyxia questline the old-school way, Drakefire Amulet and all. It’s a shame the server’s running on a 3.0+ patch, though. From what I remember, Blizzard axed the attunement questline in 3.0 to streamline things, probably to make raids more accessible. Still, it kinda sucks for those of us who loved the grind and lore behind it.block blast

Have you checked if there’s any custom workaround on WoW-Mania? Maybe the GMs could hook you up with a manual start in Blasted Lands or something. I’d be down to join if you get it rolling—been ages since I last did that chain, and I miss the thrill of chasing down that amulet!

Exactly that. Nostalgic reasons. Not sure how big of a deal it can be to re-implement this for maybe the (few?) who are willing to this questline with their heroes.
They don't need to change the attunement part. Only make the questline available.




I did notice some other things on this client that feels off.
Not really sure what the quest was called... but after finishing all the quests in Eastern Plaguelands. (Besides the ones that grand you item attachments, epic armor and all). At some point you'll be giving a quest to dive into Naxx. And kill a few trash mobs.
But Naxx isn't in Eastern Plaguelands anymore. I am unsure if this quest can be finished in the current Naxx.
