Basically just a question. I have tried installing addons manually and any addon manager I have tried won't install them either.
So my question is, can addons be used with this private server client or do I need the retail version for them to work?

Re: Addons
You can use the WoW Mania client with addons. Just pick your addon and unzip it. (Peazip is good for that and its free. google it.) Then just paste the unzip files into your Addon folder, which is in the Interface folder, in your game client.

Re: Addons
I did that and they are not working. That's the manual install I mentioned in my post. I tried it several times with no luck.
Re: Addons
What patch version was the plugin your trying to install.
The downloads section has a descent number of plugins that work in this client version and when looking for pluginsbay sites like curseforge try and get ones for 3.3.5 .

Re: Addons
Don't forget "AddOns" options button, bottom left on character selection screen.
Check it to make sure the ones you want to use are checked.

Re: Addons
in some cases the folder you need to move are in another folder so you will get a folder called Omen 27.33 and inside is a folder called Omen which is the one to move into interface> addons
