The Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a patch came out in March 2010. In over 6 years the Mac and its OS has changed a lot and it's not compatible with the older versions.
Yes, it's true there are original pristine installs of World of Warcraft that may still work on the latest Mac (even if poorly) but the fact is we do not have the resources to keep up with the changes and supporting 2 clients and 2 Launchers for 2 different platforms.
If you are dead-set to use Mac and play World of Warcraft I recommend you installing WINE: https://www.winehq.org/.
Wine (originally an acronym for "Wine Is Not an Emulator") is a compatibility layer capable of running Windows applications on several POSIX-compliant operating systems, such as Linux, Mac OSX, & BSD. Instead of simulating internal Windows logic like a virtual machine or emulator, Wine translates Windows API calls into POSIX calls on-the-fly, eliminating the performance and memory penalties of other methods and allowing you to cleanly integrate Windows applications into your desktop.
A nice tutorial on how to get World of Warcraft running on WINE can be found here: http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/World_of_ ... ty_on_Wine
I hope you guys understand our position and limitations on this subject.
