I followed the start guide but got stuck on step 4. When I open the launcher as an administrator, I get an error message saying:
"The World of Warcraft installation you selected is not the proper version.
Current Path: C\:Wow-Mania-2.9.7
Expected: 3, 3, 5, 12340
Local Version: "
It doesn't state what the local version is. I've attached a screenshot of the error message above.

Hello Hennersxxx
You will need the full mania client
When you have download the full client, right click on the folder and uncheck the read-only

Re: Error Message on Launch as Administrator - Invalid Game Version
Thanks Zinius. I've fixed this issue but have run into the "Failed to open archive interface.mpq" error:
Things I've done:
- Downloaded all the current patches
- Moved torrent out of the C: drive
- Marked the wow-mania file and it's contents as not read-only
- Checked that the realmlist.wtf says "set realmlist wotlk.wow-mania.com"
- Run the launcher.exe file as an administrator
- Re-downloaded the whole thing and repeated the above steps
It looks like I just haven't been able to download the correct file. Do you reckon you could share it? Also, should I make a new post for this?
Thanks for your help so far btw.

Re: Error Message on Launch as Administrator - Invalid Game Version
Hello again Hennersxxx
My apologies for the late reply.
Yes looks to me you have a corrupt file.
Please make sure you are downloading the full client 19gig and not just the patches. for the patches to work you must have the mania client. https://www.wow-mania.com/start
If you need more help you can make a mania discord ticket to get 1 to 1 help.
